This notice explains how JR Hospital ("we") handles personal information when you use this website. It does not cover medical records created during your care at the hospital.

This website stores nothing you type
The website is a set of information pages. It has no database and no user accounts, and it does not save what you enter in its forms.
When you use the appointment, enquiry or feedback form, your browser puts what you typed into a WhatsApp message to JR Hospital. WhatsApp then opens with the message ready, so you can check it. Nothing reaches us unless you press Send in WhatsApp.
What we receive on WhatsApp
- Appointment requests: the service, your preferred day and time of day, the patient's name and a phone number.
- Enquiries: the topic, your name and your message.
- Feedback: the type of feedback, your message and, if you choose, your name.
WhatsApp also shows us your WhatsApp phone number and profile name. Messages are carried by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy.
Please do not send detailed medical information or emergencies on WhatsApp. In an emergency, come straight to our Accident & Emergency department or call us.
How we use it
We use what you send only to reply to you: to arrange or change an appointment, answer your enquiry or review your feedback. We do not use it for marketing and we do not sell it. Only authorised hospital staff who handle WhatsApp messages can read them.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and needs no cookies to work. If you choose to show the interactive map, it is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold from your WhatsApp messages, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.

We will update this page if we change how we handle personal information. The version at the top shows when it was last changed.
